We’re rolling out an update for Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention to improve the performance of DLP policies to block sensitive information from being shared via Teams chat and channel messages.
[When this will happen:]
Rollout will begin in early September 2023 and is expected to be complete by late September 2023.
[How this will affect your organization:]
With this performance update, we’re improving the speed of detecting and classifying sensitive content shared via Teams to enable faster enforcement of DLP policies. As this update rolls out, users will see a reduction in latency between detection of policy violations and enforcement of defined policy actions (i.e., delaying or blocking sensitive content from being shared ). All existing features and functionalities of DLP for Teams such as alerting, audits, ability to override, and more will continue to function as is.
[What you need to do to prepare:]
No action is needed to enable this update.
