Current status: We’ve received reports of an issue in which anonymous users can’t view or edit Microsoft Whiteboards in Microsoft Teams meetings via all connection methods, despite admins’ denoting their ability to do so in the Microsoft Teams admin center. Preliminary investigation revealed that our mitigative efforts to address a different problem pertaining to Teams admin center configurations regarding anonymous users’ access privileges led to the temporary suspension of anonymous users’ ability to edit or view whiteboards in Microsoft Teams altogether. We’re developing a fix which will allow us to once again restore this functionality for affected anonymous users. We’ll delineate more details regarding this fix and an estimated deployment timeline as soon as they’re available.

Scope of impact: Any anonymous user attempting to access Microsoft Whiteboards in Microsoft Teams meetings held via any connection method is affected.
