User impact: Users may have been unable to create chats, meetings, channels and teams within the Microsoft Teams service.
Final status: We’ve identified that an unexpected surge in user traffic caused by a recent feature deployment, inadvertently caused impact. We’ve ran service optimization commands to accommodate the increase and prevent further impact. Once the service returned to acceptable performance levels, we reverted the feature deployment to fully remediate impact.
Scope of impact: Impact was specific to users hosted within Europe, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
