User impact: Users may be unable to view telemetry data as expected in the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint portal.

Current status: Our monitoring telemetry identified an issue in which users may be unable to view telemetry data as expected in the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint portal. We determined that a recent update, intended to reconfigure a network authentication component, led to a discrepancy between the information present on the infrastructure that facilitates this functionality and our service to fulfill telemetry data ingestion and population in the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint portal. We’re correcting this misconfiguration to both resolve impact and ensure that data from within the window of impact is populated as anticipated.

Scope of impact: Any user hosted out of the affected infrastructure may be unable to view full telemetry data as expected in the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint portal.

Root cause: A recent service update, intended to reconfigure a network authentication component, led to a discrepancy between the information present on the infrastructure that facilitates this functionality and the information recognized by the service to fulfill telemetry data ingestion and population in the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Portal.
