Root cause: A recent service update, intended to reconfigure a network authentication component, led to a discrepancy between the information present on the infrastructure that facilitates this functionality and the information recognized by the service to fulfill telemetry data ingestion and population in the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Portal.

– We’re assessing the validation process for which authentication component configuration changes are tested so we can ensure that future changes don’t result in similarly impacting events.
