More info: Anonymous users may be unable to view or edit these whiteboards despite admins allowing anonymous users these permissions in the Microsoft Teams admin center. The problem may happen in any Microsoft Teams connection method.

Current status: We’re in the final stages of the fix validation and will provide an estimated timeline for saturation and remediation once deployment begins.

Scope of impact: Anonymous users attempting to access Microsoft Whiteboards in Microsoft Teams meetings held via any connection method may be affected.

Root cause: Our mitigative efforts to address a different problem pertaining to Microsoft Teams admin center configurations regarding anonymous users’ access privileges led to the temporary suspension of anonymous users’ ability to edit or view whiteboards in Microsoft Teams altogether.
