[When this will happen:]

Preview: This is currently rolling out and is expected to be completed by end of October 2023.

[How this will affect your organization:]

Customers can now extend Microsoft Endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and actions to endpoints running Windows on ARM (ARM64) which allows them to detect and protect sensitive data in files part of their digital ecosystem. This enables admins to introduce policy controls for scenarios such copying to a USB, or copy to clipboard, notepad, printing, upload to cloud and more while using a Windows endpoint powered by ARM chipset. As part of DLP Policy definition, admins can leverage the current policy conditions and actions that are already available for use. There is no additional setting required.

Customers need to ensure their ARM64 endpoints are onboarded to Microsoft Purview DLP by using any of our supported onboarding methods.

Devices running on ARM64: Microsoft Surface Pro 9 5G, Microsoft Surface Pro X, Volterra
