More info: Users may have encountered multiple impact scenarios as part of this issue, these included but weren’t limited to:
– When users scheduled a Teams Live Event with the Teams encoder option enabled, they may have encountered delays and failures, potentially receiving an “error occurred” message.
– When users opened previously scheduled Teams Live Events with the Teams encoder enabled, opening the scheduling details may have resulted in the Teams encoder option being reverted to the default setting.
Final status: We’ve determined that a recent standard service update, intended to update the Teams scheduler inadvertently contained a code regression, preventing users from being able to intermittently utilize the RTMP-In setting when scheduling Teams Live Events. We’ve reverted the update and confirmed that impact has been remediated after carefully monitoring the environment. Affected users are recommended to update any previously scheduled Teams Live Events and re-enable the Teams Encoder options.
Scope of impact: Users serviced by the affected infrastructure that attempted to utilize the RTMP-In setting when scheduling Teams Live Events may have been impacted.
