Current status: The deployment of our fix has been inhibited by unrelated deployment issues, delaying our previous resolution timeline. While we’re working to address these issues, we now anticipate that our fix should begin deploying by Thursday, November 30, 2023, and some users may begin to experience relief at that time.
Scope of impact: Anonymous users attempting to access Microsoft Whiteboards in Microsoft Teams meetings held via any connection method may be affected.

Root cause: Our mitigative efforts to address a different problem pertaining to Microsoft Teams admin center configurations regarding anonymous users’ access privileges led to the temporary suspension of anonymous users’ ability to edit or view whiteboards in Microsoft Teams altogether.
