User impact: Admins may be unable to modify hold policies within eDiscovery (Standard).
Current status: We’ve begun deploying the fix to the affected environments and the fix should be available for a majority of affected users at this time. We anticipate the fix to reach all affected users by Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 8:30 PM UTC
Scope of impact: Any admin attempting to modify hold policies may be affected, but only a small number appear to be impacted based on our service telemetry.

Estimated time to resolve: We anticipate the fix to reach all affected users by Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 8:30 PM UTC
Root cause: Hold policy modifications aren’t completing as expected because a component of service infrastructure that’s responsible for such modifications is encountering a transient error due to a resource contention issue.
