More info: When attempting to access the Microsoft 365 admin center, admins were intermittently directed to a page that says “Switch to an account that has permission. Your account (account name) doesn’t have permission to view or manage this page in the Microsoft 365 admin center.”
Admins may have been able to access the Microsoft 365 admin center on retry.
Final status: We’ve determined that a recent service change intended to improve the Microsoft 365 admin center experience resulted in periods of intermittent impact. While we were in the process of identifying what actions may have been necessary to resolve the issue, our service health telemetry indicated that the impact was no longer occurring. After an additional period of monitoring, we’ve confirmed that impact has been fully remediated.
Scope of impact: This issue may have intermittently affected any admin attempting to access the Microsoft 365 admin center.
