Title: Some users may not see the scroll bar in any window in the in the new Microsoft Teams
User impact: Users may not see the scroll bar in any window in the new Microsoft Teams.
More info: Users who have access to the scroll wheel on their mouse, trackpad, or other mouse-related devices can utilize that as a temporary solution. Users can also minimize their window and bring it back to focus to temporarily restore the scroll bars.
Impact is isolated to those on the new Microsoft Teams web app through a Chromium-based browser, such as Edge or Chrome, on Chromium version 121 and up, or those on the new desktop client. Those on the new web app may instead see the browser’s native scroll bar.

Current status: We’ve received reports of an issue where some may not see the scroll bar in any window in the new Microsoft Teams. Our investigation has determined that a recent update to Chromium to support addition scroll bar functionality is causing the failure to render a scroll bar in the outlined scenarios. We’ve developed a fix to restore this functionality in its entirety and are determining the most efficient deployment plan to ensure it resolve this event without issue.

Scope of impact: This issue can potentially affect any user if they’re on the new Microsoft Teams experience, and are either accessing Microsoft Teams through a Chromium-based browser or through the desktop client.

Root cause: A recent update to remediate a separate browser issue is causing the failure to render a scroll bar in the scenarios outlined in the More info section.
