Title: Some users may not see the scroll bar in any window in the in the new Microsoft Teams

User impact: Users may not see the scroll bar in any window in the new Microsoft Teams.

More info: Users who have access to the scroll wheel on their mouse, trackpad, or other mouse-related devices are able to utilize this as a temporary solution. Users can also minimize their window and bring it back to focus to temporarily restore the scroll bars.

The impact is isolated to the new Microsoft Teams desktop client and the new Microsoft Teams web app on a Chromium-based browser (such as Edge or Chrome) with Chromium version 121 and up. Users who use the new web app may see the browser’s native scroll bar.

Current status: We’ve unblocked the deployment pipeline, allowing us to continue deploying the fix. The fix has completed deployment to the affected environment, and we’re confirming with impacted users if this has remediated impact.

Scope of impact: This issue may affect any user who uses the new Microsoft Teams through the desktop client or a Chromium-based browser (such as Edge or Chrome) with Chromium version 121 and up.

Root cause: A recent update to remediate a separate browser issue is causing the failure to render a scroll bar in the scenarios outlined in the More info section.
