Microsoft Viva Engage: Updates to conversation analytics

New features are coming to conversation analytics in Microsoft Viva Engage! By the end of March, users will notice a new look for analytics on their posts. Conversation analytics will refresh faster with real-time updates, the expanded set of reactions will show in the reactions breakdown, and users will be able to filter activity across various time periods (7 days–12 months). These updates will be available to all customers with a Microsoft 365 license. Additional capabilities like sentiment analysis and more detailed engagement breakdowns will be available only to customers with a Viva Suite or Viva Employee Communications and Communities license.

[When this will happen:]

Worldwide: We will begin rolling out mid-March 2024 and expect to complete by late March 2024. 

[How this will affect your organization:]

Users will be able to monitor metrics more effectively on all posts.

All network admins and users assigned the corporate communicator role will be able to access conversation analytics.

In the Viva Engage admin dashboard, a control in the Analytics and AI section will enable admins to turn on AI-powered summarization for their network. This control will make AI features like sentiment analysis available on posts with sufficient engagement (minimum five unique responders per thread).

No action is needed to prepare for this rollout. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate.
