User impact: Users who are team owners may see an incorrect member and guest count for some teams within Microsoft Teams.

More info: This event impacts the Microsoft Teams desktop app and the Microsoft Teams web client. Admins can view the correct counts through the Microsoft Teams admin center.

Current status: We encountered issues during the fix deployment that caused delays for the rollout. We’ve reinitiated the rollout of the fix and are monitoring the progress to ensure the impact is remediated. We estimate the fix to finish deploying by our next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: Some users who are team owners may be impacted by this event when attempting to view member and guest counts for some teams.

Estimated time to resolve: We anticipate that the fix will be fully deployed, remediating impact by Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 2:30 AM UTC.

Root cause: A code issue within a portion of the Microsoft Teams service infrastructure is causing roster summary values for some teams to be inaccurate, resulting in impact.
