More info: Users attempting to play impacted Stream videos will encounter the error message: “This browser or app can’t play the video. Something might be outdated or supported. Try again using a different browser or app.”

Current status: We’ve successfully compiled a full list of affected video files and are continuing to validate code for an automated repair fix. Due to the volume of impacted video files, this process is taking longer than originally anticipated and additional code checks are required before internal testing can begin. We will provide an update on the remediation timeline once the fix is confirmed to work in our internal environments.

Scope of impact: Any user may be unable to play migrated Stream videos in Microsoft Stream.
