User impact: Users viewing the News web part in the “Hub news” layout may see incorrect image size in SharePoint Online sites.

More info: Impact is limited to users accessing SharePoint Online sites using the latest versions of the Microsoft Edge (version 122.0.2365.52) or Google Chrome (version 122.0.6261.70) web browsers. Previous versions of these web browsers aren’t affected.

As a result of this issue, some page elements within the News web part may be incomplete, obscured, or misaligned.

Current status: We validated our fix and are preparing for its deployment to the affected environment. We’ll reach out to a sample of affected users to confirm the fix is remediating impact.

Scope of impact: Any user viewing the News web part in the “Hub news” layout using the latest versions of the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browsers may be impacted.
