More info: The impact is specific to Windows devices that are running on some Windows versions, such as versions N and KN, where a specific Windows media component (mfplat.dll) isn’t present. Affected users may see no video where the video is supposed to be displayed.
To bypass the issue before the fix is fully deployed, affected users can follow the instructions in this link to install the Media Feature Pack: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack
Current status: We’ve initiated the deployment of the fix and anticipate it will be fully deployed and the impact remediated by Thursday, March 21, 2024. We’ll confirm the fix is on track by our next scheduled update.
