More info: Impacted users may see the issue occurring for federated users in chats, calls, channels, and any other service feature that shows federated users. Impact occurs in all Microsoft Teams clients.
Current status: Our validation of the client-side fix has failed, as we’ve identified errors occurring as a result of the fix. We’re reviewing these errors to determine where in the fix the issue resides so it can be corrected, and the fix once again prepared for deployment. We anticipate we’ll have this issue corrected and a timeline for deployment with our next scheduled update.
Scope of impact: Some users interacting with federated users from any Microsoft Teams client may be impacted.

Root cause: An imbalance of service load on a portion of infrastructure responsible for populating federated users’ data and information in Microsoft Teams that’s resulting in impact.
