Title: Some admins may see missing data for Exchange SIT files in the Microsoft Purview content explorer

User impact: Admins may see missing data for Exchange Sensitive Information Type (SIT) files in the content explorer.

Current status: We’ve confirmed that our fix has reached all admins aside from those located within Europe, and admins in the saturated environments should be experiencing relief. We’re planning to complete the deployment of our fix within Europe during off-peak hours to ensure it doesn’t adversely affect service health, and we anticipate that this should complete and fully resolve the issue on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Scope of impact: Some admins using content explorer in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal to review Exchange files related to SITs may be impacted.

Start time: Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 1:13 PM UTC

Estimated time to resolve: We anticipate that our fix should be fully deployed and resolve the issue for all affected admins on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Root cause: A configuration issue on a portion of infrastructure is preventing accurate data from populating when some admins view Exchange SIT files in the Microsoft Purview content explorer from the compliance portal.
