We are removing Feed on Microsoft 365 (Office)

Microsoft has announced that they will be retiring the Feed feature on the Microsoft 365 app to streamline and enhance user experiences. The Feed feature, launched in 2022 to help users explore the latest content and team activities, will be replaced by the “Recommended” files on the Home tab within the Microsoft 365 app. This change will impact web endpoints such as www.microsoft365.com and www.office.com, as well as the Windows app “Microsoft 365 (Office).” The deprecation timeline for the Feed feature is set for November 1, 2024.

This transition aims to ensure that users’ existing workflows remain unaffected while providing a more accessible and integrated experience within the Microsoft 365 app. Users will now find the essential features of the Feed integrated into the “Recommended” files section on the Home tab, offering a more streamlined approach to accessing relevant content and team activities.

With this change, Microsoft is committed to evolving its platform to better meet the needs of its users and enhance the overall user experience within the Microsoft 365 app. Users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new “Recommended” files feature, which will serve as a centralized hub for accessing relevant content and team activities seamlessly.

As Microsoft continues to innovate and optimize its services, this transition marks a step towards providing a more efficient and user-friendly experience for Microsoft 365 app users. Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements as Microsoft works towards delivering a seamless and integrated platform for productivity and collaboration.
