The update also introduces favorites and custom sections to organize conversations based on individual preferences.
Sending new messages in channels is now easier, with a streamlined new message feature that integrates chat and channels. Keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+N and Ctrl+G help users navigate Teams effectively. Users can customize their chat and channels view, choose message previews, and display all channels in a single list.
The new chat and channels experience will be available on desktop, mobile, iOS, and Android in November. Future enhancements like threaded conversations are in the works, with testing starting this quarter and broad availability expected in mid-2025.
