Microsoft is excited to announce that Microsoft 365 and related data residency options are now available for commercial customers in Taiwan. Advanced Data Residency (ADR) ensures that certain customer data is stored in Taiwan for core online services like Exchange Online and SharePoint Online. Multi-Geo capabilities allow customers to choose where their Microsoft 365 user data is stored at rest. This new cloud region in Taiwan will provide AI and other cloud services to support digital transformation and the AI economy.
The launch of Microsoft’s “AI+ Taiwan” plan with Microsoft 365 availability marks a significant milestone in Microsoft’s investment in Taiwan. The new cloud region aims to provide secure, compliant services to drive Taiwan’s digital transformation. Microsoft looks forward to partnering with Taiwanese organizations to seize opportunities in the AI economy. This launch is part of a series of datacenter openings in countries like Poland, Italy, Mexico, and Spain.
