What’s new in Microsoft’s Security Service Edge solution

Microsoft Ignite 2024 is happening in Chicago and we’re excited to share updates on our Security Access Service Edge (SASE) ecosystem that focuses on identity-centric security. This helps with implementing Zero Trust and transforming your network by unifying access controls across security, identity, and endpoints.

The updates we’re announcing aim to simplify securing your devices, users, and network access. They make it easier to move away from traditional network security technologies, adopt a least privilege access model, better track user access to apps, and improve protection against threats.

Key enhancements include:
– Microsoft Entra Private Access simplifies migration from traditional VPNs and streamlines user connections to resources.
– Microsoft Entra Internet Access now allows for real-time network access revocation and encrypted traffic inspection.
– Integration with other providers makes it easier to use our SASE ecosystem for network security capabilities.
– Global Secure Access clients for macOS and iOS are now available for public preview.

These enhancements are part of Microsoft’s SSE solution, which includes Microsoft Entra Private Access, Microsoft Entra Internet Access, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud apps. This cloud-delivered model unifies controls for identity, network security, and endpoints to enhance security while simplifying management.
