Microsoft 365 Copilot has been around for just over a year now and has brought amazing innovations to SharePoint. We have introduced features like SharePoint agents to help with content discovery and knowledge sharing. Our goal is to make it easier for users to create impactful sites and enhance their content management experience with AI-powered features. Additionally, we have strengthened content governance and data protection with tools like SharePoint Advanced Management.
In 2024, we focused on automating and streamlining critical business processes with Copilot. We introduced SharePoint agents, which turn sites into scoped agents for specific needs to improve decision-making and productivity. We also made it easier to build impactful sites with Copilot, allowing users to create well-designed sites effortlessly. Furthermore, we expanded AI-powered content management features, such as Autofill columns for managing files and metadata, document translation in multiple languages, and approvals in document libraries.
In terms of content governance and data protection, we included SharePoint Advanced Management capabilities in Microsoft 365 Copilot to help with built-in content governance reports and controls. We introduced features like Site access reviews, Restricted Content Discovery, and Restricted Access Control to enhance security and governance within SharePoint.
