Last year, Microsoft invested in Entra recommendations within the Transparency in Adoption area. The main goal of Microsoft Entra recommendations is to provide advice to enhance security and boost employee productivity. It offers insights based on best practices and industry standards to help secure organizations.
Since the launch of Microsoft Entra recommendations, 11 new Identity Secure Score recommendations have been released. These recommendations are aimed at strengthening security posture and providing actionable insights to identify and mitigate risks.
Some of the latest Identity Secure Score recommendations include requiring multifactor authentication for administrative roles, implementing MFA for all users, blocking legacy authentication, not expiring passwords, and protecting users with risk policies.
To access your Identity Secure Score recommendations, visit the Microsoft Entra admin center and navigate to Identity > Overview > Recommendations. The new Recommendations feature allows you to filter recommendations by “Category” and select “Identity Secure Score.”
The benefits of these new recommendations include improved security posture, actionable insights, and comprehensive coverage. Two new features include a Secure Score Trend Chart to track progress over time and a Detailed List of User Entities to validate and take necessary actions for impacted user entities.
