What’s new in frontline worker shared devices

Exciting news! We have introduced some new features in Shared Device Mode that will make things easier for frontline workers. These updates aim to make accessing Teams on shared devices smoother and provide better access to necessary tools.

First off, we are happy to announce that Jamf support for Shared Device Mode is now available! This means that customers with iOS Jamf-managed devices can now easily enable Shared Device Mode at scale with zero-touch provisioning. This support from Jamf will help reduce deployment friction for IT admins and allow them to enforce device compliance policies on shared devices.

It’s important to note that Intune has supported shared device mode for Android since 2023 and iOS since 2024. You can learn more about setting up shared device mode for iOS and Android devices in the provided documentation links.

Additionally, we have expanded support for Microsoft apps on Shared Device Mode on iOS. The unified Microsoft 365 app is now available for use on shared devices. For more information on other supported apps, you can check out the provided links.

These updates are part of our ongoing effort to provide frontline workers with the best tools and experiences. We are excited to see how these enhancements will benefit your daily operations. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance frontline
