Visual Creator now includes video creation to empower users in the workplace. Users with a Copilot license can create draft videos with AI assistance, then edit them in Clipchamp for a polished result.
The process starts with a prompt, then AI generates a script, selects stock footage, and assembles the video with music, voiceovers, and text overlays. Users can preview the video and make further edits in Clipchamp before sharing.
Clipchamp aims to make video creation easy for new users and save time for experienced creators. The feature is being tested with global organizations and Microsoft teams for various use cases like product updates, training, and internal communication.
Some limitations include the need to activate the Visual Creator agent, inability to use existing content for videos, and limited chat editing capabilities. However, Microsoft is working on improvements based on user feedback.
