User impact: Users can’t see channels in the Microsoft Teams mobile app.

More info: Users who have access to the Microsoft Teams desktop or web apps may be able to see the affected channels through those connection methods. Impact appears primarily limited to users on iOS devices.

Current status: We’re initiating the deployment of our fix, and are following our safe deployment practices to ensure no adverse impact occurs as the deployment proceeds. We anticipate the deployment will complete by our next scheduled update, remediating impact for all affected users.

Scope of impact: Users serviced by the affected infrastructure attempting to utilize the Microsoft Teams mobile app are impacted.

Estimated time to resolve: We anticipate this issue will be fully resolved by Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

Root cause: Some metadata necessary for visibly presenting channels to users in the Microsoft Teams mobile app was altered by a recent update, resulting in impact.
