More info: As a workaround, affected users may be able use the following steps to clear their cache:

– Close and quit the new Microsoft Teams application
– Delete the folder: %localappdata%\packages\msteams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
– Start the new Microsoft Teams application

Current status: Our support case analysis has isolated a recent service update to improve language suggestions for spelling errors that has introduced a code regression, preventing the use of spell check in the new Microsoft Teams. We’ve developed and validated a fix which will address the regression and remediate the impact. We’ve begun the deployment of our fix which we’re expecting to complete and remediate the problem during the week of Monday, February 5, 2024, and we’ll confirm our timeline for remediation by our next scheduled update.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to use spell check in the new Microsoft Teams may be impacted.

Root cause: A recent service update to improve the right click menu for spelling errors to display suggestions that would be relevant to the current language Microsoft Teams is in includes a code regression.
