More info: The impact is specific to Windows devices that are running on some Windows versions, such as versions N and KN, where a specific Windows media component (mfplat.dll) isn’t present. Affected users may see no video where the video is supposed to be displayed.
To bypass the issue before the fix is fully deployed, affected users can follow the instructions in this link to install the Media Feature Pack:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack
Current status: We’ve resolved the error in our Microsoft Teams deployment infrastructure that was preventing the fix from fully reaching the affected environments as expected. Now that the error has been addressed, we’ve restarted the deployment of the fix and are monitoring its progress to ensure successful saturation. We’ll provide a resolution timeline once it becomes available.
