Microsoft Security Copilot is now available in public preview within the Microsoft Entra admin center. This integration combines previously available identity skills with new features tailored for admins and security analysts to use directly in the admin center. The goal is to better identify, understand, and remediate risks affecting applications and workload identities registered in Microsoft Entra.
With Security Copilot embedded in Microsoft Entra, identity admins can access AI-driven insights and natural-language summaries to handle security incidents and protect against identity compromise. Troubleshooting tasks, such as resolving identity-related risks and sign-in issues, can be accelerated without leaving the admin center.
The focus is on providing skills for identity security, troubleshooting access issues, and supporting access governance and policy enforcement. By structuring features around these key areas, Security Copilot aims to empower customers with AI-driven insights, automation, and recommendations to streamline workflows and enhance identity and resource protection.
For example, users have seen a reduction in completion time and an increase in accuracy when using Security Copilot. Additionally, early adopters of the tool have expressed satisfaction with the quality of their work and a desire to continue using Copilot in the future.
