Updated August 08, 2023: As we are completing the broad rollout of this feature, we wanted to share some additional information on the service plan availability.
As announced in our blog post Introducing Multiple Viva Connections Experiences for Your Organization, a single Viva Connections experience is included in Microsoft 365 plans with SharePoint Online. To use two or more experiences, you will need either Microsoft Viva Suite or Microsoft Viva Employee Communications and Communities license for all your Connections users. Starting September 2023, admins will be able to see Viva Connections Premium service plan under these two licenses in Microsoft 365 admin center.
For customers who already have either Microsoft Viva Suite or Viva Employee Communities & Connections licenses:
Users who already have one of the above licenses will be pre-provisioned with the Viva Connections premium service plan. However, admins should cross-verify to ensure the correct set of users are entitled for this feature, and as needed, should unassign the licenses from specific users using this guidance. Please review the documentation to understand how license checks are performed for this feature.
A new feature will be available soon for Viva Connections that enables you to create and manage multiple Connections experiences and home sites that are targeted to specific audiences for your organization through the Microsoft 365 admin center. This feature is ideal for subsidiaries and conglomerates that want to provide distinct, audience targeted experiences with relevant and personalized information, resources, and apps to their employees.

[When this will happen:]
Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out this feature by mid-June 2023. – Complete
Standard Release: We will begin rolling out in late June and expect to complete by mid-August 2023 (previously late July).
[How this will affect your organization:]
This feature will not impact your existing Connections experience, home site, or the designated landing destination for the desktop app.
Soon, you will have the option to create additional home sites and Connections experiences for different employee groups of your organization and manage them together in the M365 admin center. You will also be able to assign different permissions and policies to each Connections experience and control how they are displayed in the Viva Connections app on Teams.
Note: With this feature the SharePoint home site setting will move from the SharePoint admin center to the Viva Connections administration in the M365 admin center. SharePoint admins will be able to access and manage multiple home sites along with Viva Connections experiences using the Viva Connections administration in the M365 admin center.
[What you need to do to prepare:]
You do not need to do anything to prepare for this feature. However, if you are interested in setting up multiple Connections experiences for your organization, review the setup guidance to learn more about the requirements, best practices, and steps to create and manage them.
